    D.I.Y. window cleaning

Aside from the obvious of "Windex" for clean windows what do you use to get them squeaky clean? Also, any tried and true easy way to clean the tracks of sliding patio doors? That job is probably worse then cleaning the windows!!!

Either q-tips (lots of them) or a toothbrush. I usually use water and a bit of Mr. Clean or Lysol.

And I'm sticking true to Windex to clean the glass. It hasn't let me down yet D.I.Y. window cleaning , eBrandon discussion (1)

BonAmi glass cleaner is the best! Super clean, shiny and never any streaks. I use it on windows, appliances, stoves - just about anywhere.

For the patio door track, vacuum the worst with a crevice tool, clean it with warm soapy water and a toothbrush, then wipe it down with liquid furniture polish. Open and close a few times so its well lubricated, and give it another swipe with your oily rag. Makes it super clean and prevents it from sticking.

    clean windows with...

I use a bucket of water, a tiny squirt of dish soap, about a 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol and a cup of vinegar. Works great

Water with a good sized glug of vinegar in it, and use any kind of microfibre cloth. No streaks, and clean windows.

Now I feel guilty because I haven't done my windows......

    Avon Bubble Bath

    5/5/2013 at 4:41 PM

I use a bit of Avon Bubble Bath in some warm water. Wash your windows & dry them with a soft cloth. They sparkle. I like to use the Vanilla scent as it smells so nice. Do not use any polishing cloths that you have washed & used fabric softener in the rinse cycle. They will leave you with streaky windows. I use it in the house on all my glass & mirrors as well.

I use half vinegar and half water in a spray bottle for a lot of my cleaning. LOVE the Norwex polishing cloth for windows/mirrors = AMAZING!! Seriously, I'm not someone who really cares about cleanliness of windows or what works best, but got the Norwex cloth as a gift and would recommend it to anyone
